The perfect Summer uniform needs a straw hat. And, why not with a band that you can add or not depending on your mood? Continue reading if you want to discover how to make one (or two, three, ten!) for your favourite hat!

Summer (and, oh yeah, holiday) is just around the corner and this means lots of
Bellini moments in our veranda that hats are becoming essential for the
crazy hot weather again.
I don't know about you, but I'm always been one of those persons who are
so in love with hats even if sometimes I forget to wear them especially when I mostly should
(I'm so lazy on holiday!).
I prefer straw hats because they are so light and comfortable under the sun and today
I show you a very simple trick to add a band to your hat depending on your desire.
It's not only so easy to make, but also removable: yes yes yes!

//

***

You need // Vi occorre:

- Your straw hat. // Il vostro cappello di paglia.
- Elastic band. // Fascia elastica.
- Multihole punch (or scissors). // Pinza fustellatrice (o forbici).
- A brad. // Un fermacampione.

How to // Come procedere:

1)
Make a hole on one extremity of the band, leaving 1,5 cm (0,5 in) from the end.

2)
Wrap the band around your hat to measure the length you need, then cut it, exceeding
about 3 cm (1,1 in).

3)
Make an other hole, this time on the other extremity.

4)
Wrap again the band around the hat and now fix it using the brad: make it pass through
the holes and the hat (with a straw hat it's so easy to do), then open it so that it doesn't

5)
Voilà! You can choose to wear your hat with or without the band, or to make it in different
colours to better match your Summer outfits. For more possibilities! //
