DIY BOW BACK SWEATER (EASY SEWING PROJECT)

The if you like it put a bow on it situation goes on. After the no sew version, today I want to share with you a (super easy!) sewing DIY to transform a boring cardigan into the prettiest sweater ever! Take needle and thread and read the full tutorial!

Bows are just the key when it comes to adding a little detail that makes a difference.
There are so many ways to use them, one of the easiest is what I'm sharing today!
//

***

You need // Vi occorre:

- A cardigan sweater. // Un cardigan.
- Ribbon. // Nastro.
- Needle and thread. // Ago e filo.
- Chalk. // Gessetto.

How to // Come procedere:

1)
First, remove the buttons and lay down the sweater on your table. Sign with the
chalk the points where buttons were and cut as many ribbon pieces of 20-25 cm (7-9 in)
as the buttons number you removed, or, if you want, leave the last point "free" to create
a little split, as I did.

2)
Take the first ribbon, fold it in half and sew the folded extremity to the first point you signed
with the chalk. // Prendete un nastro, piegatelo a metà e cucite l'estremità piegata
in prossimità del primo punto segnato col gessetto.

3)
Repeat with the second one and all the ribbons...

4)
You now just have to make the bows! Open the first ribbon, make the left side pass through the buttonhole, make the knot and the bow! // Ora dovete solo fare i fiocchi!

5)
Repeat and...you're done! // Ripetete e...avete fatto!

  29. It's just incredible! I mean, it looks like something complicated but the fact that it's not at all makes it just perfect! Who knew that wearing a cardigan in the opposite way could look so good! Actaully, I have a very similar one and now I just need the ribbons ;)

Maiko www.comemivestooggi.it
