DIY VELVET CLUTCH AND DRESSLINK WISHLIST FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE

See how to make a clutch starting from an old video tape case. // Scoprite come realizzare

Hey dears!
Did you survive the food overload? How was your Christmas?
I enjoyed two amazing days with my beloveds and I couldn't ask for more.
Fortunately holidays are not over and party occasions too. New Year's Eve is near
and we have to organize everything perfectly, our outfit included!
I have always loved velvet, especially on accessories and for little details.
It is like it can make everything look more luxurious, precious and unique.
So, nothing better than New Year's Eve to show off a beautiful red velvet clutch (no,
I'm not talking about a cake bag), as a good luck wish (red is the lucky color!).
And, why not diy?
I would do something with velvet and, after meditation, yes, a clutch could be a good idea.
Okay, but how?
So, when I saw an old video tape case, my creative side
suddently said YES YES YES! while my practical side was saying I HOPE
YOU ARE JOCKING (and while my other side, that I could name melancholy, said
MY GOD AM I SO OLD?).
And with my internal complex, here I am, with a velvet clutch for your New Year's Eve!
And you can use it also as jewelry storage, or as special gift-packaging and so on.
Read below how to and my personal wishlist for beautiful party-dresses!
//

You need // Vi occorre:

- An old video tape case (reuse: platinum edition!). // Una vecchia custodia di
video cassetta (riciclo: edizione platino!).
- Gold spray paint. // Vernice oro spray.
- Velvet paper. // Carta vellutata.
- Scissors. // Forbici.
- Glue. // Colla.
- A decoration. // Una decorazione.

How to // Come procedere:

1)
First, remove label and plastic from the case. // Primo, togliete etichetta e plastica
dalla custodia.

2)
Spray the case with the golden paint, inside and outside and let id dry. // Spruzzate

3)
While waiting for the case to be dry, draw the model for the internal lateral corners.
Here mine.

4)
Try it on the case, folding the sides and cutting the excedent parts. // Provatelo

5)
Copy the model 4 times on the back of the velvet paper. Then cut the 4 pieces. //
Tagliate i 4 pezzetti.

6)
Glue 2 corners together, so that the velvet is outside. Repeat with the other 2. //

7)
Place the corners in the case and glue them to it. // Sistemate gli angoli nella custodia
ed incollateli ad essa.

8)
On the velvet paper draw a rectangle with same measure as the inside of the case, then cut and glue it.

9)
Cut an other rectangle for the outside and glue it too. // Tagliate un altro rettangolo per
l'esterno ed attaccate anch'esso.

10)
Add the decoration (what and where you want). This is optional. // Aggiungete una decorazione
(cosa e dove volete). Questo passaggio è opzionale.

Vi ho già parlato dello Shop Dresslink qui e qui.
