IN MY BAG: DIY NO SEW COIN PURSE

nosew coinpurse diy francinesplaceblog

Make yourself a no-sew coin purse! // Realizzate un portamonete senza cucire!

Talking about things we need to bring with us
in our bag, a coin purse is of course one of the most useful.
Since my bag seems to be my second home (I can't go out without my agenda,
or colored pencils, or a book, or... okay, you got it) I'm working on few DIY projects
for all of you, like me, Mary-Poppin's-bag addicted!
You can see here the first idea that I made and other will come soon!
Read below, now, how to make this simple no-sew coin purse, even for beginners!
//

***

You need // Vi occorre:

- A rounded piece of fabric with 15 cm (5,9 in) of diameter. // Un pezzo tondo di tessuto
con 15 cm di diametro.
- Multi hole punch. // Pinza fustellatrice.
- Rope, about 15 cm (5,9 in). // Cordino di circa 15 cm.

How to // Come procedere:

1)
Draw a circle with 12 cm (4,7 in) of diameter and put it on the back of your fabric, then
draw the profile on the fabric. //

2)
Sign 12 points on the circumference. Imagine that your fabric is a clock and you have
to make a point every five minutes (hope it can help to understand!). //

3)
Now, with the multi hole punch, make 12 holes on the drawn points. // Ora, con la
pinza fustellatrice, fate 12 buchi dove avete disegnato i punti.

4)
Take your rope and insert it in the holes, starting from the front side of the fabric. //

5)
Go on, like you are sewing with the rope... // Andate avanti, come se steste cucendo...

6)
Once you've done, pull delicately the rope to "close" the fabric, then make a knot. //

7)
Voilà! Your coin purse is ready (and so so lovely)! // Voilà! Il vostro
portamonete è pronto (e super adorabile)!

At Firmoo they are so kind that they gave me a voucher code for my readers!

Li adoro!

  10. I have never used a coin purse because there is usually a compartment for change in my wallet but this seems like a quick and simple project for the change laying around my house. This would be a chicer than a piggy bank and I could make one to match my decor.
