September, for me, is not only the most creative month of the year, but it means also (new) cozy Fall outfits and wardrobe cleanings! If I like finding new pieces of clothing/accessories, I love even more mixing together the ones I already have to create new outfit ideas, cause sometimes you just need to add the right accessory to make the difference! Like this minimal circle hair pin I've been wanting for a while and that I've finally decided to DIY. You'll be surprised by how easy it is! // Settembre, per me, non è solo il mese più creativo dell'anno, ma significa anche (nuovi) outfit Autunnali e cambio di stagione! Mi piace scegliere nuovi capi di abbigliamento, ma adoro ancora di più mixare tra loro quelli che già ho per creare nuovi look, perché spesso basta l'accessorio giusto per fare la differenza! Hello September! Every year this time I have the same mix of feelings: a bit (a bit...ahem...a lot) sad for the end of the holidays and excited for what's coming next. Yes, September is with no doubt a favourite month to me and I prefer planning new projects and set new goals during this time of the year rather than the 31st of December. Who's still at the beach? Lucky you! Really. This Summer, at stake with the renovation of our new house, we haven't had the opportunity to leave for a real vacay. I mean, being at home doing nothing all day is itself a vacay, but you know...the sand, the sea, etc...You got it. Hoping for a weekend away asap, I want to show you a project I made few days ago to spice up my August plans: a satin tube top that's already a favourite in my closet. Cause creativity never goes on holiday! // Chi è ancora in spiaggia? Fortunate voi! Davvero. Quest'Estate, con la ristrutturazione della casa nuova in ballo, non siamo riusciti a partire per una vera vacanza. Insomma, stare a casa tutto il giorno a fare niente è già di per sé vacanza, ma sapete...la sabbia, il mare, ecc...Ecco. Sperando in un weekend via il prima possibile, vi voglio mostrare ciò che ho realizzato pochi giorni fa per dare una botta di vita ai miei programmi d'Agosto: un top in raso, che è già un preferito nel mio armadio. Perché la creatività non va mai in vacanza!

Do you like straw accessories? I totally do! Bags, hats...everything straw (fashion and decor talking) is simple but elegant and has that Summer vibe that is always welcome :D So, today I want to share with you a suuuper easy DIY for a pretty straw bag, perfect from beach to dinner! MY BLOG'S 5TH ANNIVERSARY!

Time flies!!! How could 5 years pass by so fast? I don't know, but I know that, after all this time, I'm still here with a lot of ideas to share with you! This blog started in 2012 from a bored July afternoon, while my bf was in USA for job and I needed something to do for the month I was going to spend alone....at home. Maybe not the most exciting start ever, yes, but month by month it became more and more how I would it to be! From just a "place" with an undefined thread to the creativity collection you now know. With a lots of new projects in my mind and new changes (cause life is always a surprise!) I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart! Hope you'll keep on reading my posts and sharing creativity! Thank you so, so much and let's keep having fun together! // Il tempo vola! Come sono passati 5 anni così in fretta? Non lo so, ma so che, dopo tutto questo tempo, ho ancora voglia di condividere con voi tante ideaa! Questo blog nacque nel 2012 da un annoiato pomeriggio di Luglio, mentre il mio ragazzo era in USA per lavoro ed io dovevo trovarmi qualcosa da fare per l'intero mese che stavo per trascorrere da sola...a casa. DIY BEACH INSPIRED CENTREPIECE

For those waiting for holidays (I still have 3 weeks of work!) adding a beachy touch to the house can be a solution, if the sea is your favourite destination, of course! I had a crazy hard week, I put all my life in moving boxes, so I really needed to create something that could help me to travel away, even if just with mind. This DIY is ridiculously easy, but, as I told you, I had almost no time for myself and, when it's hot and time lacks, easy DIYs are definitely the best! // Per quelle di voi in attesa delle vacanze (io devo aspettare ancora 3 settimane!) aggiungere un tocco marino alla casa può essere la soluzione, se il mare è la vostra destinazione preferita, ovviamente! DIY PEARL EMBELLISHED JEANS

Few days ago I was cleaning out my closet and I found a pair of old jeans I did not even remember about (same feeling as when you find 10 € in pants pockets). Looking at them I decided that a little refresh was not only necessary but could also become a funny way to spend a rainy weekend afternoon. And so I did. I added some pearls as the season trend wants and they look so pretty now! // Qualche giorno fa stavo ripulendo il mio armadio e ho trovato un paio di vecchi jeans che nemmeno ricordavo di avere (stessa sensazione di quando trovi 10 € in tasca). Guardandoli ho pensato che un piccolo restauro non era solo necessario, ma poteva anche diventare un modo divertente di passare un piovoso pomeriggio in casa. E così ho fatto! Aggiungendo delle perle come il trend di stagione vuole, sono diventati decisamente più carini!

When I started this blog I just would share with you guys my passion for creativity and everything handmade. Tutorials are sometimes less important than the creative idea itself (just think about a flowers garland, for example), but others they may require skills that not everyone has. I'm far from being a DIY omniscient but, during the last years, I've learnt a bit and built my personal "maker's skills and tricks experience", always evolving. This is why I think it's the right moment to start a new section on Francine's Place Blog: the DIY BASICS. A series of posts where you'll find tips and tutorials for the DIY skills you need for a DIY project. In few words, the DIY of a DIY. Ready to start? I totally am! // Quando ho dato il via a questo blog volevo semplicemente condividere con voi la mia passione per la creatività e per le cose handmade.
