DIY BASICS: THE HAND SEW KNOT

When I started this blog I just would share with you guys my passion for creativity and everything handmade. Tutorials are sometimes less important than the creative idea itself (just think about a flowers garland, for example), but others they may require skills that not everyone has. I'm far from being a DIY omniscient but, during the last years, I've learnt a bit and built my personal "maker's skills and tricks experience", always evolving. This is why I think it's the right moment to start a new section on Francine's Place Blog: the DIY BASICS. A series of posts where you'll find tips and tutorials for the DIY skills you need for a DIY project. In few words, the DIY of a DIY. Ready to start? DIY BUCKLE NECK SWEATER

Back home after beautiful days away, I'm definitely not ready for coming back to work tomorrow (I mean...who could be?). Buuut today is holiday here in Italy, so I want to show you a quick and nice DIY I made some time ago, right for the middle season (read= when you don't know what to wear). Adding a simple buckle to an oversized sweater is the key to make it look unique and cool. Maaa oggi è vacanza quindi posso mostrarvi un fai da te veloce e carino che ho preparato un po' di tempo fa proprio per questa stagione in cui non si sa mai cosa mettersi. We were craving for some days away from everything and we simply did it: I am posting this from my family sea house and I couldn't be happier to be here. Silence, fresh breeze and nature. Cause sometimes it's just all we need! // Stavamo desiderando dei giorni per stare lontani da tutto e l'abbiamo fatto: sto pubblicando questo post dalla casa al mare della mia famiglia e non potrei essere più felice. STRAWBERRIES AND RASPBERRIES CHOCOLATE PRALINES RECIPE

Hi there! How was your Easter? Still full? Cause today we talk about food...again! And actually, about chocolate. Seriously: chocolate and Easter looong weekend is perfection! I usually eat a little piece of dark chocolate after dinner (it's good for health!), but we know...at Easter indulging a bit more is allowed! Plus, I got these super cute chocolate molds, so I thought that, this year, I could replace the traditional eggs with pretty strawberries/rasperries flavoured roses :) Ready to tempt yourself with homemade chocolate pralines? // Ehilà! Come è andata la Pasqua? Siete ancora piene? Perché oggi parliamo di cibo...ancora! E in realtà, di cioccolato. Seriamente: cioccolato e weekend lungo di Pasqua è perfezione! Solitamente mangio un piccolo quadratino di cioccolato fondente dopo cena (fa bene alla salute!), ma si sa...a Pasqua un piccolo sgarro è concesso. In più, con questi stampini carinissimi ho deciso, quest'anno, di sostituire le tradizionali uova con roselline alla fragola e lamponi :) Pronte a tentarvi con dei cioccolati fatti in casa?
